Ladki Bahin Yojana: After completing the eKYC process, every eligible woman will receive ₹1,500 per month directly into her bank account. This will help manage household expenses and increase women’s financial strength.
The Maharashtra government is running the Chief Minister’s Ladki Bahin Yojana to provide financial support to women. Under this scheme, each eligible beneficiary will receive ₹1,500 per month directly into their bank account. However, the government has made it clear that only those women who complete their eKYC process on time will be able to avail the benefit. This monthly assistance aims to reduce household burdens and strengthen women financially.
What documents are required for eKYC?
Women applying for the Ladki Bahin Yojana need to submit some important documents. These include Aadhaar card, passport-size photograph, domicile certificate, ration card or voter ID, income certificate, and active bank account details. Without these documents, the eKYC application will remain incomplete and benefits will not be credited.
What is the eKYC process?
The state government has launched a dedicated portal for eKYC at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. To complete the process:
- Visit the official website
- Click on the ‘e-KYC’ option
- Enter details such as name, address, ration card number, income information, and Aadhaar number
- Upload all the required documents
- Submit the application and wait for confirmation
Once approved, the monthly assistance will start getting transferred to the beneficiary’s account.
Why is eKYC necessary?
The government has emphasized that eKYC is crucial for transparency. Earlier, fake accounts and duplicate names were found, causing funds to be diverted. With the eKYC system, only genuine beneficiaries will receive the amount. Additionally, women are required to update their details every year to ensure a smooth transfer of funds without delays.
