There is a lot of competition in the sub-4-meter segment, which includes all the major automakers in India. These brands constantly launch new models in the Indian market to stay in the competition. Here we will tell you about the top 5 SUVs to be launched in India, which you should wait for.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid
In 2023, when Maruti Suzuki launched the Fronx, it became the subject of many jokes due to its unique name. By 2025, the Fronx became one of the top SUVs in the market and Maruti Suzuki laughed all the way to the bank. This made it clear that ‘what’s in a name?’ Maruti Suzuki is working on a hybrid version of the Fronx, which will be the most affordable hybrid vehicle in the Indian market after launch.
Tata Punch Facelift
Tata Motors is working on giving the internal combustion engine of the Punch a much-needed facelift. In terms of design, it will be inspired by its EV version. Based on the spy images, the 2025 Punch is expected to have the same split headlight design as the electric SUV. It may get a slight touch up job with sleek connected LED DRLs at the front, new alloy wheels and redesigned taillights at the rear.
Next-gen Hyundai Venue
The design of the next-gen Hyundai Venue takes inspiration from the current Creta, incorporating many of its signature styling elements. The split headlight design will feature cube-shaped LED headlights and a parametric grille. Based on recent spy pictures, the Venue will retain its silhouette but will come with new alloy wheels.
Mahindra 3X0
The 3X0 is Mahindra’s fourth best-selling SUV and sold 7,952 units in May 2025. The rival to the Tata Nexon EV is expected to borrow the two battery packs available from the XUV400 EV. The entry-level 3XO EV will be powered by a 34.5 kWh and the top model by a 39.4 kWh battery unit. It will be interesting to see if Mahindra will price the 3XO EV aggressively and try to undercut the Nexon EV.
Renault Kiger
Renault India currently sells three vehicles – the Kwid, Triber and Kiger. The flagship Kiger is the compact SUV in its portfolio, which will get a facelift this year. The 2025 Kiger has been caught doing test runs and based on those spy images, it will get a nip-and-tuck job with minor updates. The front fascia and split headlamps will be redesigned with some new minor styling elements. Some changes are expected at the rear as well, but the C-shaped taillights will remain intact.
