Mahindra XUV700 Facelift 2026: Mahindra is gearing up to update its popular XUV700. The facelifted version, which has been spotted on road tests, features a redesigned grille and new headlamps.
Mahindra is gearing up to update one of its most popular SUVs, the XUV700, for the first time since its launch in August 2021. The facelifted version has been spotted undergoing road tests, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of what lies hidden behind the scenes. The subtle changes are expected to enhance its bold appeal. From the photos that have been released so far, the front end of the XUV700 facelift comes with a redesigned grille.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Features
The new round headlamps are seen, similar to those seen on the Mahindra Thar. However, these could be present only on the test model. Interestingly, the spotted test mule does not have fog lamps. However, the side profile and alloy wheel design seem to have been retained from the existing model. This indicates a mild mid-cycle refresh rather than a complete overhaul. In terms of features, the upcoming XUV700 facelift is expected to further raise the bar in the segment.
Mahindra XUV700 New Model
Reports suggest that Mahindra may incorporate elements from its upcoming XUV.e9 model. This includes a refreshed dashboard, new infotainment upgrades, and front and rear ventilated seats. An upgraded Harman Kardon sound system, digital key technology, and even a self-parking feature could be part of the new package. These new features will cater to the growing demand for technology-rich premium SUVs and will boost Mahindra’s competitiveness.

Mahindra is unlikely to make much of a change to the existing powertrain setup. The updated XUV700 is expected to retain its current engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Both engines will continue to be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, with the company’s increasing focus on sustainable mobility and future-ready platforms, there is also information that Mahindra may use this facelift opportunity to introduce a plug-in hybrid variant.
XUV700 Hybrid Launch
While Mahindra is yet to announce an official timeline, market speculations point to the facelifted XUV700 being launched in late 2025 or early 2026. The SUV is expected to debut like many of its upcoming rivals, and this update will help it maintain its foothold in the segment. With visual upgrades, premium features and a possible hybrid option, the updated XUV700 promises to appeal to both loyalists and new-age buyers looking for performance, comfort and modern technology in one package.
