Skoda Kylaq CNG launch:Â Skoda Kylaq may get a new CNG variant by early 2026. The current models of the Skoda Karoq get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that is capable of delivering 115 hp of power and 178 Nm of torque respectively.
Skoda Kylaq CNG: Skoda launched the Kaylock SUV in November 2025. And the brand is now planning to offer a new powertrain option to Indian customers. Skoda India has expressed its interest in evaluating CNG compatibility in turbo engines offered in Skoda cars. As of now, no timeline has been announced for the launch of CNG models.

However, Skoda says it won’t be a difficult integration. As the brand already offers CNG powertrains in its internationally available Octavia, Scala and Citigo models. Also, Skoda is not the first company to bring a CNG powertrain with a turbo-petrol unit. The Tata Nexon already offers a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a CNG unit.
The current models of the Skoda Kaylock on sale get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox (MT and AT). It is capable of delivering 115 hp of power and 178 Nm of torque respectively.
Available in four variants in the Indian market – Classic, Signature, Signature Plus and Prestige. The brand also offers seven colour options for the Kayak – Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Candy White and Deep Pearl Black. The price of the Skoda Kayak starts at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the most affordable SUV offered by the brand in India.
