Maruti Suzuki India has expanded its CNG lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Grand Vitara S-CNG with a strong emphasis on passenger safety. The new model now features six airbags as standard across both the Delta and Zeta variants. It also comes with a number of new-age technologies and convenience-focused upgrades.
Mid-Range SUV
Targeted at buyers who value performance, safety and premium features in a mid-size SUV, the starting price has been set at ₹13.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It measures 4,345 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and 1,645 mm in height, which offers generous cabin space for passengers. This size makes it competitive in the mid-range SUV market. With the added benefit of a CNG powertrain for cost-effective and eco-conscious urban commuting.
Fuel-efficient CNG powertrain
Under the hood, the SUV is powered by Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, which has been tuned for CNG compatibility. In CNG mode, the engine delivers 87.8 BHP at 5,500 rpm and 121.5 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm, ensuring a smooth driving experience while balancing fuel efficiency. The company claims a fuel economy of 26.6 km/kg, making it a great choice for daily users and budget-conscious families.
S-CNG model multi-powertrain
The new S-CNG model is in line with Maruti Suzuki’s multi-powertrain strategy. It includes a robust hybrid variant and the ALLGRIP SELECT 4×4 option. This strategy gives customers the flexibility to choose powertrains based on their needs – be it performance, eco-friendliness or adventure-ready. The Grand Vitara S-CNG sits in the middle, offering practicality with good performance.
Enhanced features
The Maruti 2025 Grand Vitara S-CNG is equipped with several comfort-enhancing features.
