Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a great offer for customers. The company has launched the ‘Freedom Plan’, which offers 30 days of 4G service for just Rs 1, which will be available for a limited period. This special offer has been introduced as part of the 77th celebration of the country’s independence.
BSNL has recently completed the establishment of its indigenous 4G network across the country. Under this plan, customers will also get unlimited local and STD calling, 2GB high-speed data every day, 100 SMS/day and a free BSNL SIM.
4G is expanding rapidly
BSNL is setting up 1 lakh 4G sites across the country. This network has been built with Make in India technology, which is a big step towards strengthening Digital India.
Currently, BSNL’s competitors like Jio, Airtel and Vi are offering similar plans for Rs 349, 379 and 399. However, BSNL’s plan is the cheapest and this facility is being provided for just Rs 1 for a month.
Will not get the benefit of OTT
It is worth noting that while private telecom companies are providing 5G services and OTT apps, BSNL is currently providing only 4G service.
This step has been taken at a time when recently Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given BSNL the target of increasing mobile service business by 50% in the next one year. Along with this, all units have also been instructed to increase enterprise business by 25-30% and fixed line business by 15-20%.
