India’s Cheapest EV Gets a Price Hike: New Rates and Features from July

MG Comet EV: Even though the MG Comet EV has become a bit expensive now, it is still an affordable and technologically advanced electric car for cities. Let’s know its features.

MG Comet EV: MG Motor India has again increased the prices of its cheapest and entry level electric car Comet EV. The company has increased its price by 1.94% or up to 15,000. If you are thinking of buying this car from July 2025, then now you will have to pay at least 12,700 extra for it.

Actually, this is the second time MG Motors has changed the prices of Comet EV. Earlier in January 2025 also, the company had updated the prices.

MG Comet EV is available in four variants

MG Comet EV has been introduced in the Indian market in four variants (Executive, Excite, Exclusive and 100-Year Edition). All these variants get an ARAI certified range of about 230 km on a single full charge. This range is better for urban trips and makes it an ideal electric car for daily commute.

How is the design?

The design of the MG Comet EV is inspired by the Chinese electric car Wuling Air EV. Its length is 2974 mm, width is 1505 mm and height is 1640 mm. The wheelbase of this car is 2010 mm and its turning radius of 4.2 meters makes it very easy to park on narrow roads and in limited spaces. In terms of design, many modern elements have been included in it, such as closed front grille, full-width LED light strip, sleek headlamps, large size doors, sporty alloy wheels, and flat rear section. All these elements together give it a mini-modern look.

Technology and Features

MG Comet EV has a great combination of technology and comfort. It has a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which gives features like music, turn-by-turn navigation, weather information and real-time traffic updates. Apart from this, it also has a 10.25-inch digital driver display, which shows important vehicle related data. Users can enjoy features like voice command, calls, music and navigation by pairing their smartphone with the car’s system.

Color options and style

MG Comet EV can be purchased in four attractive colors (Bay (blue), Serenity (green), Sundowner (orange), and Flex (red)). All these colors have been chosen keeping in mind the young and urban users, which makes this car special not only in terms of technology but also in terms of style.
