TVS iQube became India’s best-selling electric scooter in May 2025, setting a record with over 6.26 lakh units sold. The recent sales of 3 lakh units in just 12 months shows its phenomenal growth.
TVS iQube has made a big splash in the electric scooter market in India. With over 6.26 lakh units sold in early May 2025, iQube has broken records and surpassed strong competitors like Ola and Bajaj in monthly sales.
TVS iQube – A record in a year
While the initial phase of iQube’s journey was smooth, its recent performance has been phenomenal. The scooter reached its first 1 lakh sales in three years, but the next 1 lakh came in just 10 months. By May 2024, total sales had crossed the 3 lakh unit mark, and remarkably, the latest 3 lakh units were sold within 12 months. This shows the exponential demand.
Sales topper
TVS iQube became India’s best-selling electric scooter in May 2025, a historic achievement for the brand. The momentum started in April when it almost reached its monthly sales target. This was followed by an additional 27,642 units sold in the first two days of May. This momentum reflects not only growing consumer demand but also strong dealership support and stable supply.
TVS iQube Family-friendly scooter
Launched in January 2020, the iQube was developed as a family-centric electric scooter. It features all-LED lighting, smart connectivity, a comfortable seat and ample storage. It is ideal for city commutes as well as short family rides.
Best scooter sales record
Financial year 2025 was a record-breaking year for TVS Motor Company, with total scooter sales crossing 18 lakh units. Out of this, iQube alone contributed 2,72,605 units, which is 15% of total scooter sales. This strong electric performance boosted TVS’s market share to 26%, even as total domestic scooter sales across India reached nearly 69 lakh units.
In April and May 2025, iQube was the leader in electric scooter sales in India. Between June 1 and 14, it reached 11,841 units. It captured a 27% share in the electric two-wheeler segment. This indicates that iQube’s dominance is not temporary. But is part of a long-term trend in India’s EV evolution.
The savings of a scooter that speaks volumes
Apart from its sales achievements, the iQube offers real-world savings. On average, considering the lower running and maintenance costs compared to petrol scooters, owners have reported lifetime savings. For budget-conscious Indian families, this becomes a compelling factor in favor of the iQube.
What’s next for iQube?
With the strong support of TVS’ manufacturing and service network, iQube is well positioned to continue its growth trajectory into late 2025 and beyond. As India’s EV ecosystem matures, demand for reliable, feature-rich and affordable options like iQube is expected to increase. This will keep India at the forefront of the electric revolution.
