Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand Vida is once again in the news and this time the reason is the new scooter Vida VX2, which is going to be launched on July 1, 2025. The special thing is that Vida VX2 will be introduced on a special subscription model, which will make it cheaper and easier to buy than ever before.
What is Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model?
Vida VX2 is being brought on Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, which means that customers will be able to rent the battery instead of buying it. This will reduce the upfront price of the scooter significantly. Customers will be able to choose from different subscription plans according to their needs and budget. It will now be like petrol fill and go. Meaning take the battery, go and fill only as much as you use.
Vida VX2 – Features and Design
Vida VX2 is actually based on the Vida Z concept, which was first shown at EICMA. VX2 will be a toned-down version of Vida V2 and has been designed keeping in mind more budget-friendly customers.

It will get stylish and bold color options. It has a small but An impressive battery pack will be seen. It can have a simple and clean design. Apart from this, it will also have a mini TFT display. This is going to be Vida’s most affordable electric scooter.
When will the booking and delivery start?
Bookings and deliveries of the scooter can start with the launch. Hero has indicated that the VX2 will be made available in many cities as soon as it is launched.
Who will compete with?
Vida VX2 will directly compete with Bajaj Chetak 3001, Ola S1 Air, Ather 450S, TVS iQube (affordable version).
What will be special in the subscription?
Hero will reveal the rates and details of subscription plans with VX2 on July 1. It is expected that the company will bring variable plans. Like it can have a daily commuter plan, light plan for weekend users, unlimited plan for high mileage riders.
Hero Vida VX2 Electric Scooter Price
The price of the upcoming model will only be revealed at the time of launch. As mentioned earlier, it is expected to be priced lower than the Vida V2 electric scooter, which starts at Rs 74,000 (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 1,20,300 (ex-showroom).
