Tata Sierra
The Tata Sierra EV could come with an all-wheel drive system derived from the Harrier EV. The 65kWh LFP and 75kWh LPF battery options from the new Harrier EV could also be available in this EV. The 65kWh battery is paired with a single motor mounted on the rear axle. The 75kWh battery has dual motors. The Sierra’s range could vary from the Harrier EV.
MG Majestor
The MG Majestor will be a full-fledged 4X4 SUV based on a ladder-frame chassis and powered by a 2.0L turbo diesel engine. The engine comes in two tuning stages – 163bhp with 375Nm (single turbo) and 218bhp with 480Nm (bi-turbo). The 4X4 drivetrain will be offered only in the bi-turbo variant. The Majester will be a sportier version of the updated Gloster SUV.
Mahindra Thar Facelift
The Mahindra Thar has always been known for its excellent off-road performance. The SUV will get a mid-life update next year. The updated model will get many design elements and features from the Thar Rock. The 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift will feature a 152bhp, 2.0L petrol (RWD & AWD options), 117bhp, 1.5L diesel, 132bhp, 2.2L 4WD.
New Generation Toyota Fortuner
The next-generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to come with a 204bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine and mild hybrid powertrain options. Its popular 4X4 drivetrain will continue from the current generation. The SUV is likely to see significant changes to its interior and exterior. Various reports suggest that the 2026 Fortuner will offer an ADAS suite, vehicle stability control system, and a hydraulic steering system.
Renault Duster/Boreal
In 2026, Renault will launch the third-generation Duster and Boreal 7-seater SUVs. These SUVs will share platforms, powertrains, components, features, and design elements. Like the previous generation, the new one is likely to offer an optional all-wheel drivetrain system. The new Renault Duster will be offered with petrol and hybrid powertrain options. The company is also considering a CNG fuel option.
