Aprilia is planning to expand its model range in the Indian market. Recently, the Aprilia SR 175 scooter was spotted at a dealership. It is reported that its official launch will take place soon. It seems that the new SR 175 model will be introduced to replace the SR 160 model currently on sale in the country.
Aprilia SR 175 Expected powertrain
The new Aprilia SR 175 bike is equipped with a 174.7cc 3-valve single-cylinder engine. This unit will produce 12.92 hp of power at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. This makes it a better choice than the Aprilia SR 160 that produces 11.27 hp and 13.44 Nm.
Aprilia SR 175 Design
The Aprilia SR 175 is likely to borrow most of its design cues from the already-on-sale 160cc model. It will also borrow colour themes from the RS 457 and Tuono 457 motorcycles.
The company has not yet revealed any details about the basic features of the Aprilia SR 175. However, it is expected to feature the same suspension, tyres, frame and other hardware components as the SR 160.

The Aprilia SR 175 has already started reaching dealerships, suggesting that it could be launched by the end of this month. According to information published by Autocar, the prices of the new Aprilia SR 175 model start at Rs. 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom).
