Ather Energy’s family electric scooter, Rizta, was launched on April 6, 2024 and deliveries began in July last year. This scooter has received an overwhelming response from buyers in India. This scooter has crossed the 1 lakh units sales mark in India. With a total of 99,691 units sold between July 2024 and April 2025, Ather needed to sell only 309 more units to achieve this milestone in May 2025, which was crossed in the first few days of May 2025.
Ather Rizta e-scooter
In the last 9 months of FY2025 (July 2024-March 2025), Ather sold 89,639 Rizta e-scooters, accounting for 58 per cent of the EV startup’s fiscal year sales. With this, Ather recorded its highest ever annual sales in FY25, with 1,55,405 units sold.
Brand’s most successful product
This means that the new Rizta became the Bengaluru-based EV startup’s best-selling product in the last financial year, ahead of the 450X (44,391 units, 28 per cent share), 450S (18,999 units, 12 per cent share) and 450 Apex (2,376 units, 1.5 per cent share).
Family scooter
The Rizta, marketed as a family scooter, marks a strategic product shift for the recently listed smart electric scooter maker. Designed and developed with a focus on practicality – as well as to take on competition in the form of the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida – key features of the Rizta include the largest two-wheeler seat in India, ample storage space and a host of user-friendly features.
