Mahindra Scorpio N Z8T: New Mahindra Scorpio N vs XUV700: Price, Features & Value Compared

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8T: Mahindra has launched the new Z8T variant of Scorpio N, which is close to Z8L in features but is more affordable in price. Let’s find out what new features are available in the car.

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 T Features: Mahindra has launched its popular SUV Scorpio N with a new variant Z8T. This new model is slightly cheaper than the company’s top variant Z8L, but the essential features are also present in it. The Z8T variant of the new Scorpio has been priced at Rs 20.29 lakh, which is about Rs 1.13 lakh cheaper than the Z8L.

You get almost all the features in this new vehicle from Mahindra, just high-tech safety features like ADAS Level 2 are not there in it. The entry of this new variant raises the question in the mind whether the Z8T can really give a tough competition to the XUV700? Let’s know in detail the difference between the two SUVs and which one is more value for money.

What is special in Z8T?

The Z8T variant is specially designed for those customers who do not want technology-heavy features like the XUV700, but are still looking for a premium and comfortable SUV. It has features like electronic parking brake, auto hold, 360 degree view camera, front parking sensors, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, ventilated front seats and 6-way powered driver seat.

With these features, the Scorpio-N is now firmly establishing itself in the category of SUVs like XUV700 and Thar Rocks. Although the lack of technological features like ADAS can be a bit disappointing, the ex-showroom price of Rs 20.29 lakh makes it a value-for-money package.

Driving performance

No mechanical changes have been made to the Z8T. It comes with the same 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engines, which have power delivery of 200PS and 175PS. It is also available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options, making its refinement and driving performance comparable to the XUV700.

How economical is the Z8T?

If compared, the XUV700 has the advantage of advanced technology like ADAS, but the Z8T also has features like ventilated seats, 6-way powered driver seat, electronic parking brake and 360 degree camera. Both the SUVs have the option of sunroof, engine power and AWD, making the Z8T a better choice for customers who want both luxury and best options at a low price.
