South Korean company Hyundai is soon going to introduce the Ioniq 6 N electric car model in the international automobile market. This high-performance electric sedan was teased earlier this year. Following the success of the Ioniq 5 N car model launched two years ago, the Ioniq 6 N is going to be brought to the market. Hyundai has planned this move with the aim of expanding its high-performance N portfolio.
Design details of the Ioniq 6 N car
Although the photos released by the company do not reveal any sufficient details, they have showcased the rear wing and tail lighting. The sharp bonnet is joined by sleek LED DRLs, a wide stance and lightweight wheels. The rear features pixel-shaped taillights that, while not completely connected, appear like dotted lines.

Hyundai says the Ioniq 6 N is built around three key performance pillars: ‘Corner Rascal’, ‘Racetrack Capability’ and ‘Everyday Sportscar’.

While there are no details on the specifications, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to use the same 641 bhp AWD electric powertrain that powers the Ioniq 5 N.
Ioniq 5 Battery Details
The Ioniq 6 N is built on the same E-GMP (Electrified-Global Modular Platform) platform that underpins the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. It features a dual-motor setup. The front electric motor produces 222 bhp and the rear motor produces 377 bhp. This allows the Ioniq 5 N to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 kmph. It is powered by an 84 kWh battery pack. It can travel up to 355 km on a single charge.
Ioniq 6 price, when will it be released?
Since it is built on the same platform, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to have similar specifications to the Ioniq 5, while the appearance is not the same. Hyundai will officially launch the Ioniq 6 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2025. With the Ioniq 5 N priced at Rs 56.62 lakh in Indian currency, the new sedan is expected to carry a slight premium while being priced at $70,000 (Rs 59.87 lakh in Indian currency). It is said that this car will compete with the BMW i4 M50 and Tesla’s Model 3 Performance in the international market.
How are the Ioniq cars in India?
The Ioniq 5 car model is sold as Hyundai’s flagship electric car model in the Indian automobile market. However, sales of the car have been very sluggish. Despite a discount of up to Rs 4 lakh last month, only 11 units have been sold. At the same time, the premium edition of the Ioniq 5 car model, the Ioniq 5 N, has never been introduced in the Indian market. Although there have been reports that it may be marketed domestically, it has not been confirmed. In this situation, the Ioniq 6 N is likely to be launched in the international market soon. But, it is doubtful that it will come to the Indian market.
