Tata Sierra EV: I’m back! Tata Sierra is back as an EV car

Tata Sierra: Tata Motors is preparing to relaunch the Sierra SUV in ICE and EV variants.

Tata Motors is gearing up to relaunch the Sierra SUV in both ICE and EV variants. The spy shots show off a futuristic three-screen setup, advanced features, and state-of-the-art safety technologies like Level 2 ADAS.

After taking the market by storm with the electric Harrier avatar, Tata Motors is gearing up for this year’s flagship launch, the Sierra. The model was earlier showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Spy shots have already started appearing online, revealing some key details and features.

In case you didn’t know, the Tata Sierra is expected to return to the market after almost two decades and once again dominate the segment. Both the ICE and EV variants of the SUV will be available for purchase.

Tata Sierra Coming Soon: What Do We Know?

The spy shots give the impression that the SUV will have futuristic features when it launches. The test model was observed to feature a three-screen setup to enhance the overall driving experience for both the driver and the passengers.

As per reports, each unit will measure 12.3 inches. The central unit of the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster will be housed on one screen, while the front passenger will occupy the other.

As per rumours, the Mahindra XEV 9e, which was launched in India a few months ago, seems to have acted as some inspiration for the company. Among other notable features, the SUV will feature a panoramic sunroof, Harman sound system, dual-tone dashboard, stylish four-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, wireless charging, automatic climate control, soft-touch materials on the dashboard and automatically adjustable ventilated front seats.

The Tata Sierra will feature many of the popular safety features of the recently launched Harrier EV. A 540-degree surround-view camera, Level 2 ADAS with multiple autonomous functions, HD rearview mirror, seven airbags as standard and other benefits are added to the list.

The ICE is likely to feature a 2.0L diesel engine and a 1.5L turbocharged GDI petrol engine. The Harrier and Safari are powered by the same powerplant. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are likely to be available with these engine choices. The electric version is likely to use the same battery pack and dual-motor AWD system as the Harrier EV.
