Ather Energy has expanded its popular Rista electric scooter lineup with the launch of a new variant, the Rista S 3.7 kW/kW. Priced at Rs. 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the variant offers a balanced blend of extended range and a more affordable price.

The Rista S 3.7 kW/kW is designed for customers who want a larger battery but don’t have all the premium features found in the top-end Z variant. The biggest highlight of this new variant is the addition of a larger 3.7 kW/kW battery, which is the same battery used in the Z 3.7 kW/kW model.
Ather Rista S 3.7kWh Details
With this battery, the scooter offers a mileage range of 159 km as per ITC standards. However, to make the price more affordable, Ather has removed some premium features like the colour TFT touchscreen and some cosmetic upgrades available on the Z variant.
However, it retains key functional features like the 7-inch DeepView LCD screen, auto hold, emergency stop signal, turn-by-turn navigation and Ather’s Failsafe safety technology. In terms of performance, the Rista S 3.7 kWh is identical to the Z variants, regardless of the battery size. It offers the same power and torque figures with a top speed of 80 kmph.

The main advantage of opting for this mid-spec S variant is the extended battery range compared to the entry-level 2.9kWh model, while avoiding the higher price tag associated with the fully loaded Z 3.7kWh. Ather keeps the practical features intact, including a large 34-litre under-seat storage space.
This remains unchanged. The wide, comfortable seat designed for family travellers also continues. Buyers will benefit from Ather’s extensive fast-charging network, Ather’s Grid, with over 3,900 charging points spread across the country. This ensures long-distance travel convenience for EV commuters.
Ather Rizta S OTA Update
The new Ather Rizta S 3.7kWh comes with the brand’s Eight70 battery warranty plan, which offers coverage of eight years or 80,000 kilometers. Customers can further enhance their ownership experience by opting for the Pro-Pack, which unlocks additional features including OTA software updates.
Bookings for this variant are open at Ather’s experience centers and online, with deliveries scheduled to begin later this month. The Rizta S 3.7kWh is now positioned between the entry-level Z 2.9kWh and the premium Z 3.7kWh, offering a well-balanced choice for EV buyers in India.
