Kia is going to launch its new Carens Clavis Electric on July 15. This is the company’s 7 seater electric MPV. Carens Clavis also includes many high-end features like panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose audio system, 4-way electric driver seat, ventilated front seats and paddle shifters.

Kia is going to launch its new Carens Clavis Electric on July 15. This is an electric 7 seater MPV of the company. Carens is the second best-selling MPV in India after Ertiga. Now the company is going to bet on the electric version of this car. This is the company’s first EV to be made in India. Not only this, it will also be the first three-row EV in this segment.

How will the battery

You can also get battery pack and motor options in this car. Currently, Creta EV gets 42kWh battery pack (390km range) and 51.5kWh battery pack (473km range). Whose motor output is 133bhp and 169bhp. Hyundai and Kia are both sister companies. Due to this, similar features can be seen in these cars. It can have dual digital display, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, level-2 ADAS, connected car technology, boss mode for front passenger seat and fully LED lighting system.

It will compete with these

Carens Clavis also includes many high-end features like panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose audio system, 4-way electric driver seat, ventilated front seats and paddle shifters. In India, it will compete directly with Maruti e-Vitara, MG ZS EV, Tata Curve EV, Mahindra BE6, Hyundai Creta EV as well as upcoming electric cars from Honda, Toyota, Skoda and Volkswagen.

Design and interior features

The top variant of the car gets a navy blue and beige interior theme, while the lower variants use a black and beige combination. It has two 12.3-inch large free-standing screens, one for infotainment and the other for the instrument cluster. The dashboard also has a dual-tone two-spoke steering wheel and a touch-sensitive control panel. With which the user can easily switch between AC and media settings. It gets beige colored leatherette seats and a layout of captain seats in the middle, which makes it even more premium.
