Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara: Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara.. When can we expect it in India?

Suzuki has launched its first fully electric SUV, the E-Vitara. It is expected to be launched in India in 2025, with two battery options and various ranges.

Suzuki has officially launched its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, in the United Kingdom. Priced at £29,999 (roughly Rs. 35 lakh) for the base variant, the electric Vitara aims to take on mid-size EV SUVs in the global market. The top-end variant, called the Ultra Allgrip-E, is priced at £37,799 (roughly Rs. 44 lakh). With the UK launch complete, Indian consumers are keen on its pricing and availability in India, where EV adoption is steadily increasing.

Two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh

The e-Vitara EV comes in two battery configurations. The base model is powered by a 49 kWh battery pack, while the higher-end variant is fitted with a 61 kWh unit. These battery packs offer different levels of performance and range, making the SUV suitable for a variety of users, from urban commuters to long-distance travelers. The 49 kWh variant is more range-efficient in city conditions, while the 61 kWh version is aimed at buyers looking for longer journeys and better performance.

E-Vitara; Driving range and charging details

Based on usage, the 49 kWh E-Vitara offers a WLTP-certified range of 346 km. It is suitable for daily and intercity travel. The 61 kWh battery variant in a single-motor setup claims a range of 428 km. The dual-motor version of the 61 kWh pack (with AWD) is slightly less efficient due to the additional efficiency. It offers a range of 412 km. Fast charging support is expected. However, the exact charging speed is yet to be revealed.

Suzuki Powertrain Features

Suzuki has tuned the powertrain differently for each variant. The 49 kWh model delivers 142 bhp. Meanwhile, the larger 61 kWh battery model delivers 172 bhp in its single-motor setup. Meanwhile, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant takes things further with a combined 178 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. All three versions offer a maximum torque of 192.5 Nm in single-motor form.

Will it be cheap?

The current London pricing may seem steep. But Suzuki has no plans to import the same unit to India. Instead, the E-Vitara will be manufactured locally at Suzuki Motor Gujarat’s facility in Hansalpur. This is already being groomed to become the hub for Suzuki’s global EV ambitions. Due to local manufacturing and FAME subsidy benefits, India-spec pricing is expected to be significantly lower – possibly in the range of 18–25 lakhs, depending on the variant.

When will it launch in India?

While UK buyers can already buy the E-Vitara, Indian consumers will have to wait a little longer. According to industry sources, Maruti Suzuki plans to bring the E-Vitara to India in late 2025. Test prototypes are expected to appear on the roads in early 2025. The official launch will be during the Diwali festive season. The brand has already hinted that the India-spec version will feature some localized changes.

Competitors in India

Once launched, the Maruti E-Vitara will directly challenge other upcoming and existing electric SUVs in the country. Its main competitors include the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE.06, Tata Karve EV and MG ZS EV. Of these, Hyundai and Mahindra are already testing their EVs for launch in 2025. This makes the EV SUV segment one of the most competitive in the next 12–18 months.

Export plans from India

The Hansalpur plant will not only cater to Indian customers but will also serve as an export base for E-Vitara units sold in other markets including Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. The move will allow Suzuki to benefit from economies of scale, helping it reduce costs while maintaining international quality standards.

Maruti Suzuki’s performance

With Maruti Suzuki’s aggressive electrification strategy and India’s growing EV infrastructure, the E-Vitara is poised to play a key role in the transformation of the EV brand. If priced right, backed by a robust charging network and service support, the E-Vitara could be a very practical and accessible electric SUV for Indian families. It remains to be seen how well Maruti executes this high-stakes launch in a rapidly growing market.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Price: Royal Enfield hikes price of Bullet 350 motorcycle

Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Price: The price of this model has not been changed in the current price hike. Royal Enfield also introduced a Military Silver variant for a short time.

In 2023, Royal Enfield made a major change to its Bullet 350 model. Due to these changes, Royal Enfield switched to the company’s more advanced J-series platform. With this, the Bullet 350 model joins the Meteor 350, Classic 350 and Hunter 350, which were already built on the same platform.

Royal Enfield hikes price of Bullet 350 motorcycle

Two years after its launch, Royal Enfield has decided to increase the price of this bike. The entry-level model of the Bullet family is the Battalion Black variant. Its price is Rs. 1.75 lakh. The price of this model has not been changed in the current price hike.

Following this, the Military variant, which is still offered in black and red colors, is available at a price of Rs. 1.75 lakh. Its price has also increased by Rs. 2,000. The price of the standard variant, which is available in black and maroon colors, is now Rs. 2.00 lakh and Rs. 3,000.

The flagship Black Gold version has also gone up by a modest Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2.18 lakh. Royal Enfield also introduced a Military Silver variant for a short while, but it was later discontinued.

While the variant mix has changed slightly, with prices now ranging from Rs. 2,000 to a maximum of Rs. 3,000, the Bullet 350’s mechanicals remain the same. It continues to be powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 20.2 hp of power and 27 Nm of torque.

However, this model is set to get a significant update. Royal Enfield is expected to introduce the slip-and-assist clutch that was introduced on all 350cc models, including the Bullet, and the recently launched 2025 Hunter 350. This small but significant upgrade should improve the riding experience, especially in city traffic.

Mahindra XUV700 facelift spotted undergoing road tests in India

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift 2026: Mahindra is gearing up to update its popular XUV700. The facelifted version, which has been spotted on road tests, features a redesigned grille and new headlamps.

Mahindra is gearing up to update one of its most popular SUVs, the XUV700, for the first time since its launch in August 2021. The facelifted version has been spotted undergoing road tests, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of what lies hidden behind the scenes. The subtle changes are expected to enhance its bold appeal. From the photos that have been released so far, the front end of the XUV700 facelift comes with a redesigned grille.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Features

The new round headlamps are seen, similar to those seen on the Mahindra Thar. However, these could be present only on the test model. Interestingly, the spotted test mule does not have fog lamps. However, the side profile and alloy wheel design seem to have been retained from the existing model. This indicates a mild mid-cycle refresh rather than a complete overhaul. In terms of features, the upcoming XUV700 facelift is expected to further raise the bar in the segment.

Mahindra XUV700 New Model

Reports suggest that Mahindra may incorporate elements from its upcoming XUV.e9 model. This includes a refreshed dashboard, new infotainment upgrades, and front and rear ventilated seats. An upgraded Harman Kardon sound system, digital key technology, and even a self-parking feature could be part of the new package. These new features will cater to the growing demand for technology-rich premium SUVs and will boost Mahindra’s competitiveness.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Spy Shots

Mahindra is unlikely to make much of a change to the existing powertrain setup. The updated XUV700 is expected to retain its current engine options – a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Both engines will continue to be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. However, with the company’s increasing focus on sustainable mobility and future-ready platforms, there is also information that Mahindra may use this facelift opportunity to introduce a plug-in hybrid variant.

XUV700 Hybrid Launch

While Mahindra is yet to announce an official timeline, market speculations point to the facelifted XUV700 being launched in late 2025 or early 2026. The SUV is expected to debut like many of its upcoming rivals, and this update will help it maintain its foothold in the segment. With visual upgrades, premium features and a possible hybrid option, the updated XUV700 promises to appeal to both loyalists and new-age buyers looking for performance, comfort and modern technology in one package.
