Tata Tiago is one of the cheapest Tata cars sold in the Indian market. The sales report for the current month of May 2025 of the Tata Tiago, a hatchback, has now been released.
Tata Tiago Sales: According to this, Tata Motors sold a total of 6,407 Tiago cars (IC engine + electric) in May 2025. But in May 2024, this number was only 5,927. This is a growth of 8 percent.
In May 2025, only 2 cars of Tata Motors have registered growth in sales. Of these, Tiago is one. The other is Tata Nexon. All the remaining Tata cars, namely Punch, Altroz, Safari, Tigor and Harrier, have all experienced a decline in sales.
In this, the only exception is Tata Curvv. The Tata Curvv car is a new arrival in the Indian market. The Tata Curvv car was not sold in the Indian market in May 2024. Therefore, its sales figures cannot be compared with May 2024.
Okay, let’s come to the Tata Tiago. As we have already mentioned, this is one of the cheapest cars from Tata Motors. The starting price of the Tata Tiago in the Indian market is just Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, the price of the top variant is Rs 8.45 lakh.
These are the ex-showroom prices of the IC engine version. On the other hand, the electric version is being sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.99-11.14 lakh. It is because it is a value-for-money product at this price that the Tata Tiago has been selling well.
Among the IC engine variants of the Tata Tiago, the CNG/AMT variant offers the highest mileage of 28.06 km per kg. On the other hand, as far as the electric version is concerned, its long range variants offer a maximum range of 315 km.
