Tata Harrier EV bookings begin tomorrow, know details

Tata Harrier EV: Launched at a price of ₹28.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Harrier EV will be available for bookings from July 2.

Tata Harrier EV: Tata Motors’ new Harrier electric model has been announced. The Harrier EV AWD has been launched in a single variant called ‘Empowered 75 kWh AWD’ at a price of ₹28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will begin from July 2.

It has features like 622 km range, Boost mode, 6 terrain modes, off-road assist mode. It is based on Tata’s Active EV platform. It has a 75 kWh battery pack, dual motors that deliver 309 bhp of power and 504 Nm of torque. It can reach 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds.

The Harrier EV is available in five AWD variants: Adventure 65, Adventure S 65, Fearless+ 65, Fearless+ 75, Empowered 75. Priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The lower variants have a 65 kWh battery pack and a single, rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 235 BHP of power.

Tata Harrier EV Safety Rating

It has received a five-star NCAP safety rating. The 65kWh battery version offers a range of 538 km on a single charge. The C75 has a range of 420 km to 445 km. It offers 238 bhp of power and 315 Nm of torque. The 65kW RWD variant offers 67 litres of boot space. It takes 9.3 hours to charge from 10 to 100% on a 7.2kW AC charger and 25 minutes (20 to 80%) on a 100kW DC fast charger.

The Harrier EV is also available with a 75kWh battery pack that produces 238bhp and 315Nm of torque. The AWD drive-train system offers a range of 627 km and a C75 range of 480km – 505km. The 75kW RWD version takes 10.7 hours (10 to 100%) on a 7.2kW AC and 25 minutes (20 to 80%) on a 100kW DC fast charger.

Tata Harrier EV Range

The 75kWH battery pack has dual motors, producing 158bhp at the front and 238bhp at the rear, and an all-wheel drive system. It produces 504Nm of torque. It offers a range of 622 km and a C75 range of 460km to 490km. It supports AC and DC fast charging.

There are several drive modes such as Eco, City, Sport, and a special Boost for the AWD version. The lower variants have Normal, Wet, and Rough Terrain modes. The 75 AWD variant has advanced modes such as Custom, Snow/Grass, Mud, Sand, and Rock.

Approach, departure, and breakover angles are 25.3°, 26.4°, and 16.6°, respectively. The 65 and 75 variants have 28% gradeability, while the 75 AWD variant has 47% gradeability.

Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition Launched: Tata Motors has recently revealed the price of the QWD variant of its electric SUV Tata Harrier EV. The Tata Harrier EV SUV Stealth Edition was recently launched in the Indian market. The price of this special edition ranges from Rs. 28.24 lakh to Rs. 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition is available only in the top-spec Empowered variant in both RWD and AWD variants.

The Harrier EV Stealth Edition lineup consists of four variants. They are the Empowered 75 Stealth priced at Rs. 28.24 lakh, the Empowered 75 Stealth priced at Rs. 28.73 lakh, the Empowered 75 Stealth ACFC (with 7.2 kW AC charger) priced at Rs. 29.74 lakh, The Empowered 75 Stealth QWD priced at Rs 30.23 lakh and the top-end Empowered 75 Stealth QWD ACFC priced at Rs 30.23 lakh.

Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition Exterior: The most unique thing about the Harrier EV Stealth Edition is its exterior paint scheme. This electric SUV has a matte black paint finish. In this, all the chrome and silver elements of the standard model have been replaced with black accents.

Its exterior features ‘Stealth’ badging and piano black 19-inch alloy wheels. The cabin has a dark theme. It comes in an all-black finish to match the exterior style.

Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition: The Harrier EV Stealth Edition comes with an electric motor on the rear axle in its RWD configuration. It produces 235 bhp. Its 75 kW variant offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 627 km.

Along with this, a second electric motor has been added to the front axle in the AWD version. It produces 156 bhp. The total power output of both the front and rear motors is 300 bhp, producing a maximum torque of 504 Nm. The company estimates the actual driving range of these variants to be between 460 to 490 km.

The company has not yet revealed any details about the basic features of the Aprilia SR 175. However, it is expected to feature the same suspension, tyres, frame and other hardware components as the SR 160.

This EV has been undergoing testing in the country for some time now and has been spotted on several occasions. However, most of the time, it has been shrouded in camouflage, hiding the details of the design. But it is expected to share most of the similarities with its ICE counterpart.

Kia Carens Clavis EV Range

In terms of powertrain, the Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to get its underpinnings from the Creta Electric model. If it goes ahead, the seven-seater electric vehicle will have a 42 kWh battery pack, with an option for a larger 51.4 kWh pack. These will offer a range of 390 km and 473 km, respectively. These models are equipped with an electric motor that is rated at 133 hp and 168 hp.

Due to the larger size of the Kia Carens Clavis EV, the final certified range offered by the aforementioned battery packs may change. But it is expected to get AC and DC fast charging options. Using an 11 kW AC fast charger, it takes 4 hours to charge the 42 kWh variant from 10 percent to 100 percent.

While the 51.4 kWh variant takes 4 hours and 50 minutes. With a 50 kW DC fast charger, both variants can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 58 minutes.

Kia Carens Clavis EV Safety Features

The safety package for the Kia Carens Clavis EV includes six airbags, Electric Stabilization Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), Brake Assist System (BAS) and all-wheel disc brakes. In addition, the Clavis EV will feature ADAS Level 2, which includes approximately 20 autonomous features.
